We at Dream Smile Dental Clinic want to extend our heartiest greetings to all of you. Happy Diwali everyone!!
We thought of sharing a few dental tips so as to ensure you fully enjoy this time of the year without having to worry on your dental health and compromise on what you eat and drink.:
1. Be wise, Brush Twice
Diwali is incomplete without Mithais and chocolates. Enjoy your sweets, but just ensure to Brush twice. It helps to keep germs away from your teeth and gums. This keeps your smile safe, during the festival season, and throughout the year too! Make it a habit to floss as well.
2. Use Fluoridated toothpaste
They prevent bacteria buildup in your mouth and help prevent cavities.
3. Don’t Treat your teeth like tools
While decorating our house, many a time we use our teeth as tools to peel a wire, untie knots etc, which harms our teeth. Take care for your teeth, and they will be with you, sparkling all the way!
4. Keep yourself hydrated
One mantra to follow is to drink a lot of water. This would help you flush the accumulated toxins. This will also improve the quality of saliva and save you from conditions like dry mouth.
5. Avoid fizzy drinks
Avoid fizzy drinks; they are anyways bad for our health.
6. Tongue Cleaning
Sweets and Fried food items tend to form a layer of debris on tongue surface. This layer of debris is usually white colored coat on tongue. This may lead to throat infections, Bad Smell from Mouth (Halitosis) and alteration in Taste.
7. Visit your dentist
A visit to a dental clinic after the festive season for a cleanup or a cavity check will incur minimum costs but would save you from maximum expenditure in the future.
