Root Canal Treatment

“Root canal” is the term used to describe the natural cavity within the center of the tooth. Inside it, there is a soft area called pulp chamber, which provides nutrients and nerves to the tooth. It runs like a thread down through the root. When it gets injured, the pulp tissue dies, leading to severe toothache while chewing food, swollen tooth, sensitivity to temperature and severe pain in tooth and gums.

Endodontic Therapy or Root Canal Treatment involves treating the infected pulp tissue in the tooth. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.
